Our longtime client, the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE), has recently issued a call for sponsorship partners for their highly anticipated amphitheatre project, which is projected to be one of the most stunning venues of its kind on the West Coast of North America when completed in 2026. Designed by Revery Architecture, the amphitheatre will highlight the best of British Columbia’s building products and engineering while complying with the highest standards of environmental sustainability.
The venue will play host to a diverse range of music and cultural events, from the beloved Summer Night Concerts at the PNE Fair to art and cultural performances by symphonies, cultural innovators, community organizations, and more. The amphitheatre’s clear-span wood roof, engineered to function as a significant sound barrier to prevent noise bleed into the surrounding neighbourhood, coupled with the breathtaking BC mountains as a backdrop, make this venue an unparalleled experience in Canada.
Chair of the PNE Board of Directors and Vancouver City Councillor Sarah Kirby-Yung notes that the project will help to fulfill the city’s aims to promote greater access to music and cultural space for Vancouver’s creative sector, while also creating a multifunctional outdoor venue for various uses.
The PNE is seeking interested parties for “mutually beneficial sponsorships, including naming rights” for the amphitheatre’s redevelopment, which is expected to cost $65 million. Those interested can find more information about the new Amphitheatre and the sponsorship process at pne.ca/amphitheatre.
“As one of the most beloved brands in the province,” says PNE President and CEO Shelley Frost, “the PNE already has a strong partnership program. We expect that the stunning nature of this project will pique the interest of existing and potential new partners, which aligns with our mandate to create an asset that will benefit the city for generations to come while providing value-aligned opportunities for organizations to collaborate with the PNE.”
Stay tuned for further updates on this exciting project.
