The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences/L’académie canadienne des arts et des sciences de l’enregistrement (CARAS) was formed in 1975 as an umbrella not-for-profit organization. It oversees The JUNO Awards, the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, and MusiCounts – Canada’s music education program.
Hosted annually, The JUNO Awards are widely regarded as Canada’s number one music event with an average aggregate reach in excess of 15M people. The 2026 JUNO Awards will be held in Hamilton, Ontario at the newly renovated Hamilton Arena. JUNO Week will run from March 26 – 29, 2026, culminating in the 55th Annual JUNO Awards Broadcast on Sunday, March 29. The event will be broadcast live on CBC and CBC Gem, and streamed globally on CBC Music’s YouTube channel.
