Kal Tire steps into the presenting role, and new Partners Subaru Canada Inc. and Vancouver International Airport (YVR) join the event in support of the Volunteer Crew and Charity Program
Approaching its 39th year, the annual Vancouver Sun Run will be returning to the streets of Downtown Vancouver with a brand new Presenting Partner – Kal Tire.
“We are pleased to be able to work with Kal Tire in a new capacity this year,” said Tim Hopkins, race director, Vancouver Sun Run. “Kal Tire has supported us for several years and they have stepped up in a big way for 2023. It is important to us that we have shared values with our partners and Kal Tire aligns with our events goals of active community involvement and supporting charitable organizations,” he says.

Long-standing sponsor, Shaw Communications will return to support both the Shaw Team Division and Shaw Mini Sun Run 2.5k. OASIS returns to support the OASIS Youth Team Challenge, partner Pacific Blue Cross will continue their support of the walking division ‘Walk with Pacific Blue Cross’, and new partner Subaru joins the event as the official automotive partner and sponsor of the Volunteer Crew program.
As the largest running event in Canada, the Vancouver Sun Run draws between 20,000 and 40,000 participants of all ages each year, and its charitable efforts have raised more than $3.23 million since its inception. A new event sponsor this year, Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is supporting the Vancouver Sun Run Charity program which encourages registrants to raise funds for local charities.

The BC Cancer Foundation, BC Epilepsy Society, Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Raise-a-Reader, the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, and Family Services of Greater Vancouver will be the official beneficiaries of the 2023 event.

Registration for all divisions open Tuesday, November 1. with special 2022 pricing in effect from November 1-14. 2023 early bird pricing will be in effect from November 15 to January 31, 2023. Runners will once again be able to join in-person for the race on April 16 or participate virtually from April 14-16,2023.
